Dr. William & Leslie Renninger

During Rick’s college years he spent two summers in Ocean City doing evangelism with CRU. After college, Rick and Leslie married. Leslie taught children with learning disabilities while Rick earned two master’s degrees at Western Seminary. In 1981 they moved to Belgium with their 3 yr. old daughter. Rick taught at the Belgian Bible Institute, and they were blessed with two Belgium-born sons.

When they returned to PA in 1995, Rick completed his Ph.D., taught for 12 years at Alvernia University in Reading, PA and Leslie continued to teach. Rick serves as an elder and chair of mercy ministry at Brick Lane Community Church. Leslie is actively involved in children’s ministry and in Joni and Friends Retreats.

In 2010 Rick was invited to teach pastors in Nigeria. That began a new direction, leading to multiple trips to several destinations in 9 majority world countries. Rick is the ELI Project Director for Sierra Leone, a largely Muslim country, one of the poorest countries on the planet, and where pastors are hungry for Biblical training and Muslims are open to the Gospel.
Rick and Leslie have also been blessed by their 3 children’s spouses and their 9 grandchildren.
