What to Expect

We hope your visit to our website allows you to see who we are and get a taste of Coastal Christian Ocean City. We are a church that is in love with God, committed to each other, and that genuinely wants to reach people for Christ. We love to have fun, build community, reach out to the hurting, and follow what God has uniquely laid out for our fellowship.

We're grateful for your visit, and it is our prayer that you will become part of the Coastal family.

Here are some FAQ about what you can expect when you visit Coastal:

  • What are your service times?
Sunday services are held at 8:30 and 10:30 AM and Thursday services are at 7:00 PM in our Coastal sanctuary. On Saturday evenings at 6:00 PM our CHILL service, for older students & adults, is held in "The Living Room" at the CLC .

  • What type of music is played at your services?
Coastal Christian has a worship band which plays mostly contemporary praise-type songs. When hymns are played, it is done in a contemporary style.

  • What type of preaching can I expect?
Coastal Christian teaches through the Bible, verse-by-verse, with a focus on applying biblical truths to everyday life.

  • Is there a children's program?
Coastal Christian has a children's ministry from birth through 5th grade. Our committed team of volunteers strives to nurture and teach God's Word in an age-appropriate, fun-filled way. Our Coastal Kids program takes place at the Coastal Life Center in the building just south of our sanctuary on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. Our Saturday evening CHILL service is tailored to minister to older students & adults, therefore no children’s programming/childcare is provided for this service.
  • What is MyCoastal?
MyCoastal is a portal to everything Coastal Christian. Once you register and are entered into our system you will have access to your personal information and the opportunity to maintain it so it is always up to date. You may also add your favorite photos to your family's profile. Viewing the church directory, tracking your giving history, printing giving reports and online giving is a snap at MyCoastal as well.
  • What if my children are older than 5th grade?
We encourage our Sr. High youth to participate in the adult fellowship on Sundays. At our 10:30am service we offer  "How To Be the Bible," a Junior High study with Matt Maher, held in the Upper Prayer Room of the Sanctuary. Coastal’s youth group for Junior High, “Coastal Current” led by Matt Maher, meets Sundays at 6pm in the CLC, and “Coastal Current” Senior High, also led by Matt Maher, meets Mondays at 6pm in the Sanctuary.

  • How can I receive information about Coastal events?
The best and easiest way to keep apprised of things that are going on around Coastal is to be entered into our database so you can receive weekly emails detailing upcoming events and  services.  If we have your contact info we will also be able to notify you if we have any weather related closings or occasional important alerts. You can do this a few different ways:
    1. Sign up for MyCoastal. This is where a lot of connections are made and you may maintain your own information so it is always up to date and correct.  You can even add your photo to our directory so others can get to know you.  All of the information that you provide can be made public or get to decide. If you don't want your information to be accessible, you choose to keep it private. It's that easy.

    2. Fill out a Coastal Attendee Information Sheet  ONLINE or the next time you come to church or download it here and drop it off to the Connections Table. Once it is received we will enter your information into the system and you will begin to receive informational emails.

    3. Call the office (609.399.4747) and ask to be put on our email list.
  • How can I volunteer for a Coastal ministry?
You may visit our Connections Table in the foyer before or after any service, or you may visit our Ministries page on the website.

  • May I donate online to Coastal?
    Yes, you may!

Login in to MyCoastal and go to the giving tab and follow the instructions.

  • How may I speak to a pastor?
Please contact us at our office at 609.399.4747. Appointments are made through the office.
